On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 20:00, an event was held at the Palace of Saints Michael and George, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the Maltese community in Corfu

The evening opened with a musical introduction by the Philharmonic Society of Corfu (Old Philharmonic), with works inspired by the Maltese presence in Corfu, followed by:

• Greeting by Dr. Spyros Giourgas, President of the ALBERT COHEN CORFU ASSOCIATION
• Speech by Dr. Kostas Soueref, Historian and Archaelogist, Emeritus Ephor of Antiquities, titled "Maltese in Corfu, approach to the history of departures and arrivals".
• Speech by Mr. Spyros Gaoutsis, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malta in Corfu, titled "News about the settlement and presence of Maltese in Corfu".

The evening concluded with a small reception in the outer colonnade of the Palace.
